What an incredible few weeks it has been here at Blue Moon Gifts in the beautiful seaside village of Duncannon, Co. Wexford!

Opening our little gift shop has been a dream come true, and the wonderful welcome we have received from the local community, friends, family and visitors has been truly overwhelming.

From the excitement of our official opening night to the many lovely people who have popped through our door since, we have been absolutely blown away by the kindness, encouragement and support shown to us.

To everyone who has called in just to say hello, wish us well, have a browse, make a purchase or simply share a few kind words — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Every visit, every smile and every conversation means more to us than you could imagine.

Our official opening night was such a special occasion, and we would like to extend a huge thank you to Verona Murphyfor doing us the honour of cutting the ribbon, to Pat Kent for organising such a wonderful evening and taking so much of the stress out of it for us, and to Westgate for the delicious food. To everyone who came along to celebrate with us, you made it a night we will never forget.

Blue Moon Gifts was created from a love of art, creativity and beautiful, unusual gifts. We wanted to create a little shop full of colour, character and charm, where people could discover something different, whether it's a handmade piece of art, a locally crafted treasure or a special gift for someone they love.

Being right here beside the sea in Duncannon makes it all the more special. There is something magical about this little village, and we feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a warm and welcoming community.

One of the loveliest parts of opening the shop has been meeting so many wonderful people. From familiar local faces to visitors discovering Duncannon for the first time, we have enjoyed every chat, every story and every bit of encouragement.

We are genuinely humbled by the support we have received.

We know how important it is to support small local businesses, and every time someone chooses to shop with us, recommends us to a friend, shares one of our social media posts or simply calls in to say hello, it makes a real difference.
